Samajam's Profile

Established as a Society in Malaysia in 1956, the Samajam has been the focal point of all communal activity since. It allows as members all persons who profess to be “Brahmins”. It has as its members persons of all walks of life but largely those who are citizens of or permanent residents of Malaysia.

Regular events are held at the  “Samooha Madom” situated at Lot 1267, Jalan Ismail Ghaney, Kampung Kasipillay, 51200 Kuala Lumpur.

On each Pournami day a devi pooja is held from 7.00 p.m. On the last Saturday of each English  month a Hari Bajana is held also from 7.30p.m. These are the regular monthly activities.

Other Annual events / festivals held are as follows :-

i)   10 day Sree Rama Navami Utsevam in March / April 

ii)   Sashta Preethi on the 1^st Saturday of June

iii)  A samaradhana on a Saturday in the month of Puratasi

iv)  The Rig / Yajur / Sama Vedu Upakarmams

Other events of a religions and / or social nature are also held from time to time based on the interest therefore.
